Selena Quintanilla Perez was an American performer from America. Her songs had a Texan style and did quite well. The singer was born in Lake Jackson Texas on 16 April 1971. While her birthplace was in the United States and her first mother tongue was English, she always was singing in Spanish. Selena, who is of Hispanic roots, was raised in a happy and loving Hispanic family. Her father, Abraham Quintanilla, was also a musician, although the music he played did not get the same recognition as his daughter. Selena's parents tried everything they could to support her and help develop her talents when they realized her talent. After her family realised the talent she had, Selena began to perform at her father's restaurant and with the help of her brothers. The group she created with her brothers was referred to as Selena and the Dinos. The children reached recognition after they released their first single in 1984. The song was called My first singles.
